    This advanced Redtiger F7N Elite is the updated version of the F7N series and one of the best dashcams in the Redtiger range. This F7N Elite films in the best resolution thanks to the Sony Starvis 2 sensors, and with WDR and HDR, the night-time recordings are unmatched. The rear camera is waterproof and can therefore be mounted anywhere you want. It is very user-friendly thanks to the touch screen LCD display and suction cup mount. Wifi and GPS are built in and a 128GB Micro SD card is included so you can start filming right away.

    Sony Starvis 2 sensors

    The Redtiger F7N Elite takes great shots using Sony Starvis 2 image sensors. These super powerful sensors guarantee the sharpest images and are unmatched, especially in the dark. Videos are recorded in 4K (3840p) resolution at 24fps at the front and FullHD (1080p) at the rear.

    Waterproof rear camera

    The Redtiger F7N Elite dashcam comes standard with a waterproof FullHD rear camera. This rear camera is mounted on the rear window or outside the car and records in FullHD 1080p at 25fps.

    The rear camera is connected to the front dashcam with a long cable (6 meters). No additional power supply is required for the camera. The images from both cameras are stored separately on the SD card. A 10-meter extension cable is available as an option.

    Self-adhesive mounting

    This Redtiger F7N Elite comes with a sturdy self-adhesive holder to attach the camera to the windshield. The camera can be removed from the holder and replaced in a single sliding motion. This makes it easy to remove the dashcam from the car.

    3.18-inch touch screen LCD

    Perhaps the best feature of this Redtiger F7N Elite is the clear, wide-screen 3.18-inch touch screen LCD display. The screen shows live images and allows you to change settings.     5.8GHz Wifi

    Please note: To use parking mode, connection to the Redtiger hardwire kit is required. Parking mode cannot be turned on or off manually.

    Built-in GPS

    The F7N Elite 4K Touch Wifi GPS dashcam has a built-in GPS module. This GPS module allows the speed to be displayed on the screen and also keeps track of the coordinates of the locations where the footage was filmed. This allows you to use the included software to see exactly where certain recordings were made.

    Includes 128GB

    This F7N Elite comes with a 128GB Micro SD card, good for approximately 16 hours of 4K + FullHD recordings. It supports Micro SD cards up to 256GB, which allows for approximately 32 hours of storage.

    170˚ + 140˚ wide-view lens

    This F7N Elite 4K Touch Wifi GPS has a wide-angle lens of 170 degrees at the front and 140˚ at the rear. This allows a large area around the car to be recorded so that every situation is captured.

    Optional CPL filter

    Place the optional Redtiger CPL filter on the F7N Elite to prevent harmful and annoying reflections in the image. The filter prevents reflections from the sun and the dashboard, making the videos even sharper.

    Auto start

    The Redtiger F7N Elite dashcam automatically starts filming when the car is started and stops filming when the car is turned off. So you don't have to worry about it when it's in the car.

    G-sensor

    The built-in G-sensor detects when you have had an accident. In the event of an impact, images are automatically saved so that they are not lost. They cannot be overwritten or deleted via the dashcam.

    Built-in microphone

Installation was straightforward and I am very pleased with the mounting of the main cameras. The mount is firmly attached to the windscreen and can both rotate and tilt. Once in place, it stays put well, even on rough roads. This dashcam comes with a micro memory card. However, it must be formatted before you can use it. There is a function to format the card and even test its speed. I am impressed by the video recordings, which feature a timestamp, location, vehicle speed and driving direction. Pairing with the app to retrieve videos is done by connecting the phone to the dashcam’s wifi. Voice control is very handy for simple commands, such as switching the view from the front to the rear camera, locking videos, starting or stopping recordings or turning off audio, to name just a few examples. I find the dashcam’s operation intuitive and easy to use, especially after having used it for a while. The wifi must be turned off to access the programming. Wifi is only needed to pair with the app. The app is only used to download videos or photos. Otherwise, all functions are on the dashcam. The only downsides I have found are that the rear camera cable could be a bit longer for larger vehicles and that there is no option for a 4K camera at the front.     • I am pleasantly surprised by the image quality and overall functionality of this dual video camera. I can't say the installation was a breeze, as I had to almost dismantle my entire interior to lay and hide cables, but I expected that. Fortunately, I already had many pass-through points available from previous camera installations and stereo cables from a custom sound system to get power from under the hood, etc. This made it a bit faster in my case. Anyway, once installed, the device is very intuitive to use. I hardly had to look at the manual and simply used the clear touchscreen to set everything to my liking. The image quality and colour accuracy are what I find most impressive. My only complaint is that I would prefer a larger screen, but that's not a downside, as I knew exactly what I was buying when I purchased this product. I'm sure if the screen were bigger, the price would be too. It came with a 128 GB memory card, which I plan to upgrade to one of those Samsung Endurance cards. The installation took about 10 minutes. It takes longer if you plan to use the 24/7 parking mode, which you have to connect to the car's fuse. The video quality is good. At night you can see surprisingly much.     • With all the crazy drivers these days, I thought it was a good idea to get this camera so I have evidence if I get involved in an accident or if a crazy driver does something. If you have a bit of technical knowledge, it’s not difficult to install and set up the camera. It’s not really cumbersome and doesn’t take up much space. Red Tiger is the only dashcam I’ve found with an external camera for the rear of the vehicle. All competitors have a reversing camera attached to the rear window. I chose the hardwired version, sold separately by Red Tiger, because I felt the camera should start automatically when the car starts. The package includes a cigarette lighter adapter.

    • This review is based solely on inspecting the parts and not on actually installing and using the system. I have not yet decided in which vehicle I want to install it. Everything in the package looks excellent. Cables need to be run from a 12-volt socket to the windscreen. The same must be done for the reversing camera. It is recommended to mount the reversing camera on the outside of the vehicle.
